“Sun in my Cup”

From the a vintage Spring Ideals Magazine

“A Cup of  Sun”

An old cracked cup sat on the stair
For I forgot and left it there.
A shaft of sunlight filled its bowl
And warmed what would have been a hole.
How much like me – that old cracked cup
Made happy by what fills it up.
For me, it’s warmth that comes from love
And rays of faith from up above.
Intangible these fillers be:
The cup’s full glow, the midst of me
And yet, when all is said and done.
Life’s finest is its cup of sun.
